The Foundation offers two grant opportunities each year for Christian faith-based 501(c)(3) organizations serving the Southeast Region in the United States and communities where Watkins Associated Industries has a business presence.
Our process is rooted in faithful stewardship, thoughtful review, and a commitment to supporting work that advances our mission. We offer an invitation-only cycle that concludes in May and a limited inquiry-based cycle that concludes in November. While not every inquiry moves forward, each one is considered carefully for mission fit and potential impact.

Organizations invited to apply can schedule a consultation to discuss their application with a member of our program staff. Staff will not hold consultations for the 2nd grant cycle until the organization has advanced beyond the Eligibility stage. Consultations are recommended for organizations that are applying to the Foundation for the first time. To schedule a consultation after receiving a link to apply email grants@watkinsfdn.org.

The Foundation offers two grant opportunities each year: a May cycle and a November cycle.
The May cycle is by invitation only. Organizations may be considered when recommended by a Foundation board member, a Watkins or Freeman family member, Watkins Associated Industries senior leadership, or a Foundation staff member.
Unsolicited requests are considered during the November grant cycle. A limited number of proposals are reviewed first as initial inquiries, and organizations that appear to be a strong fit may be invited to submit a full application.
No. Submitting an inquiry or proposal does not guarantee an invitation to apply or funding consideration. The Foundation may decline requests that do not align with its mission, funding priorities, geographic focus, or eligibility requirements.
